Ala Costa raises over $10,000 for ADA compliant kitchen appliances!

We are so proud to announce the success of our recent fundraiser. Thanks to your generous contributions and unwavering support, we have raised over $10,000 in donations from our GoFundMe campaign and personal checks.

The funds will be utilized to modernize all the appliances in our Berkeley Sites Kitchen. Once updates, the kitchen will be much more accessible- fostering an environment where both our adult students and Berkeley after-school students can learn to cook in a space that embraces inclusivity. 

Ala Costa Centers has always been dedicated to providing inclusive and accessible educational opportunities for our community of children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The incorporation of ADA-compliant features in our new kitchen will ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can actively participate in cooking classes and various culinary activities.
